EaseUS Partition Master is available in numerous editions, including a Home edition, which is free, but with less features. Installing the program is not a difficult task. Its setup file is roughly 12 MB large and it will not take long to install the program's components on your computer.

The first thing you should know about EASEUS Partition Master Professional is the fact that it's designed to be user friendly. When you launch the software, you will have the options of proceeding to the main interface or accessing an online user guide. You don't need to be an advanced user to master this application. Besides reading skills, you only need to know a few basic terms, to figure out what is involved when cloning or defragmenting a disk, for example.

The software supports both FAT and NTFS file systems. It displays your partitions in the central area of its interface, along with various details. You may copy a partition, merge it with another one, convert it to logical or primary, defragment it, delete, format or wipe the partition and much more. Partitioning a disk may be a bit difficult for beginners, because it involves working with numbers that are not round and they can end up with too much unallocated space. The software illustrates a partition's used and free space as a colored bar. You can use counters or type the exact numbers to specify a new size for a partition, but an easier way is to resize the colored bar, by clicking and dragging its edges.

Safety is another feature of Partition Master application, so there is no need to panic if you get something wrong. The changes you make will not be applied immediately. You can experiment with the software's options, until you get used to them. When everything is in order, you must click an Apply button to make the actual changes to your partitions. You can also find Undo and Redo options, which can be very useful if you make a mistake.
